Fall has arrived

I have really enjoyed these last few days! The weather is perfect--beautiful, sunny days with a nice cool breeze! I love this time of year. It reminds me of High School football games, pumpkin patches, and carnivals for the family! It's great and it also reminds me that the holidays are right around the corner! I cannot wait for turkey and pumpkin pie and decorating for Christmas!!! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Chicken Fried Bacon!!!

So we went to the Fair. You can't live in Texas and not visit the state fair. We ate and ate and ate some more. The first booth we visited was the CHICKEN FRIED BACON, the best taste winner for 2008. Jeramy got some for us to share. It wasn't that great. It wasn't horrible but definitely was not something I would crave. It's probably a good thing considering it was a heart attack on a plate. Just a few vendors down we stopped and I got nachos! I don't know why but I love state fair nachos! We visited the butter carving display of King Tut--how does anyone have the patience to do that or the time?!?! Lindsey, Dirk and I rode the ferris wheel! It was Lindsey's first time!!! It was a nice day--great weather, friends and of course food!

Moving...

Well, we closed on our house! YEA! We are all moved out and living in Wills Point for a very short while. And we found a new house. It is right down the road from our old house and it is also a foreclosure. This will be our second "flip" and needs a lot more than the first one but it has a lot of potential! I call it my diamond in the rough! Hopefully we will close by the end of November so we can start work! Since it is a government owned home, it takes twice as long to do anything!!!! Anyway, we are really excited!

I wasn't sad about selling or moving out of our first home until.... I drove by and saw things that weren't mine in the yard! They put up a windsock!!! Does anyone still have those? Sorry if you're a fan, but it was rainbow and hanging from the tree! I just hope they love it and take care of it like we did!
