Ethan’s First Baby Shower

My mom and sister threw Ethan and me a baby shower yesterday.  It was so cute and we had a wonderful time.  They really outdid themselves.  The theme was baby birds!  It was so very cute!  Thanks again, guys—Love ya’ll!  Thanks to everyone who came.  Here are some great pictures!

Creativity

Dirk got me a really great Christmas present this year—Memory mixer scrapbook software.  It is so fun and easy to create scrapbook pages, invitations, photo cards and so much more.  I am sure I am not using it to its full potential! 

Check out my newest project—the picture and title part of the blog.  I am not real sure why it hangs over a little bit but that’s okay for now! :) I created that in about 5 minutes!!!  Thanks Ginni for inspiring me to be creative! 

30 weeks!

I am already 30 weeks along.  I can’t believe it—it has gone so fast.  I had a Dr. appointment today, it went well.  I met Dr. Hays—one of Dr. Martin’s partners—she is very nice and very much like Dr. Martin.  They are both great!  Anyway, Ethan has been measuring big all along but Dr. Hays felt we should get another sonogram today to check on him!  He is measuring 32 weeks and 4 days!  His head alone is measuring 34 weeks!  Thanks a lot, Dirk!  Just kidding.  How am I ever going to deliver a baby that big?!?!  A normal 30 week baby weighs about 3 lbs.  Ethan weighs 4.1 lbs.  Also, I have only gained about 7 lbs from the beginning and Ethan is 4 of them.  I guess that is a good thing.  Maybe he will arrive sooner than we thought!

Welcome 2010!

Happy New Year, everyone!  Wow how 2009 flew by!  2009 was a very big year for us.  Here is our year in quick review:

• March-moved into our new house!
• Three of our friends got engaged—Congratulations Sarina & Brandon, J & Daniel, and most recently Wendi & Jeramy!
• Two of our friends had babies—Welcome baby William and baby Lucas!
• Presley had two surgeries—one just last week.  He is good now!
• My parents sold the house we grew up in and left Wills Point for good!  Change is good—love you guys!
• Our biggest news for the year—ETHAN DANIEL IS ON HIS WAY.  Can’t wait to meet you in 2010!

As I look back on 2009, I realize how blessed we are.  We have so much to be thankful for.  Thank God for our family, friends, health, jobs and happy lives!  I look forward to 2010 and wish everyone a very Happy New Year!

Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s hard to believe that the holidays are already here!  I hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving!  Enjoy lots of turkey, dressing, and pumpkin pie!  We are headed to North Richland Hills to have Thanksgiving at April’s house and then tomorrow we are getting up bright and early for Black Friday shopping!  We may even head to Allen for the midnight specials!  I hope everyone has a happy holiday weekend!

Happy Birthday, Jason!

Wow! I can’t believe 28 years ago I was born on Friday the 13th which also happened to be my big brother’s 7th birthday (you can do the math-jk)! Thanks for letting me share this day with you!

I am so blessed to have a wonderful, loving brother like you. You always put your family ahead of yourself and you are a great uncle to Jonathan and Emily! I can’t wait for Ethan to know how lucky he is to have his Uncle J!

Remember when mom and dad bought us jousting sticks—you were relentless. Remember when you decided to collect bugs for your bug collection late at night outside my window. April and I ran down the hall screaming and dad comes out with his gun! Remember when you strapped me to a kneeboard and said hold on—maybe that’s why I love the lake so much now. I remember all those times as a child I was so proud you were my big brother. Thank you for all the love, harassment, and memories. I hope you have a great birthday!

Ethan’s Room

Last weekend at First Monday, we got the bedding!  It is so cute and so perfect!  Ethan’s room is starting to come together!  Dirk’s mom and dad bought the bedding!  Thanks Dave and Teresa!  Ethan has two wonderful sets of grandparents!  Here is a picture of the bedding:
